After qualifying as a doctor in 1987, Stanley Wolberg specialised in Neurology completing his Fellowship in Neurology in 1994. In 1995 he spent a year at The Cleveland Sleep Clinic in the USA undertaking fellowship training in Sleep Medicine. 

He is currently in private practice in Neurology at the Linksfield Park Clinic, Johannesburg and a part-time Consultant and Instructor in EEG in the Department of Neurology at the Johannesburg Hospital. He is also a co-director of the Milpark Sleep Laboratory where he is responsible for the interpretation and reporting of all sleep studies.

He is a member of American Academy of Neurology, Neurological Association of South Africa and The Sleep Research Society.
